Did you know that you can now access business tax account

Within the Represent a client service, employees and

certain types of returns electronically without a Web Access Code
- Add, view
or update operating name

direct deposit information
- View
payroll remitting requirements and a host of other services
What are the advantages?
- Efficient
- Reduces the need to contact CRA by phone to obtain information or
request certain actions
- Secure -
Easily manage who has access to the account information of the
business
- Convenient
- Available 7 days a week, 21 hours a day
- Environmentally
friendly - Reduces paper usage and storage
Whether you're an employee needing online access to your
employer's business tax information, or a representative needing the same
for your clients, you must register as a representative at www.cra.g
c.ca/representatives to obtain your RepID (Representative
Identifier). If you don't already have one, you'll need to create your
Government of Canada epass (a User ID and Password) as part of the
registration process. Once registered, you provide your RepID to the
business owner who will use it to authorize your online access via the
"Authorize or manage representatives" feature within My
Business Account.
Alternatively, an RC59
- Business Consent Form can be submitted by mail. Authorizations
performed online take effect immediately, whereas authorizations
submitted by mail only become effective once they are processed. You will
then be able to access the information and services for which you have
been authorized.
