An Introduction to the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the IPBC

Presenter:  Valoree McKay, CAE - Chief Executive Officer

Presenter's Bio:

Valoree is a highly accomplished, bilingual, senior executive in association management with twenty years of experience. Most recently, as Executive Director for the Canadian Library Association, she has just concluded a review of CLA’s organizational structure and developed a concept for the future structure and focus of a national library association. She successfully brought together stakeholders to take ownership and redefine the national association’s value model in partnership with CLA’s Executive Council.

Her experience leading a national certifying body, in addition to her ten plus years working with certifying bodies, will be an asset to IPBC as it moves forward in achieving its strategic goals around certification of the profession and promotion of IPBC certification as the gold standard in Canada.

Regional Developer: Linda Vogel, CPB

Cost: The cost of the meeting is free. You are responsible for your own dinner and beverage

Block out time on your calendar for this event right now. Why? Just imagine networking with some of the top bookkeepers in the country. Imagine the chance to be on the fast track to a more lucrative practice, to be a Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) and to receive greater professional recognition inside and outside of this network.

IPBC Regional Meetings are a vital part of that formula for success; they are a unique opportunity to combine learning while networking with your peers. Each meeting includes a guest speaker with a Q&A session; a discussion among the attendees about a marketing topic, a challenge someone may be facing, or another topic important to you. Non-members are welcome to attend two meetings to evaluate IPBC. Afterward, you must join and become an IPBC Member to attend future Regional Meetings.

Our meetings are "Scent Free, ” and business casual attire is appreciated. This is a business meeting. Please, turn off your cell phone before entering the room, and sorry no children allowed. We look forward to seeing you there!

*Attending this meeting qualifies for one Professional Development Credit*
