Joe's presentation entitled "Bookkeeping for Farms: What you should know", will cover common bookkeeping issues found in farming operations, as well as discussing basic personal and corporate tax issues, and Farm Income Programs that are available to most Canadian Farms.
Speaker's Bio:
Joe Renooy is a Chartered Accountant and Business Advisor with MNP LLP. Based in Courtenay, B.C., Joe is a leader on MNP's Vancouver Island Agriculture Team, which specializes in farm start-up and tax planning, farm income programs, cost of production analysis, and succession strategies.
Born and raised in rural Manitoba, Joe has in-depth insight into the unique challenges and opportunities facing the agriculture industry. He provides customized advice to a range of agriculture clients, including greenhouse operations, vegetable and fruit growers, and beef/grain operations.
Dedicated to his community, Joe serves as President of the Young Professionals of Comox Valley, and Treasurer of both Boomers Legacy and the Comox Valley Marine Rescue Society.
