When CRA Debts Lead to Insolvency

Presented by:  Bryan Gelman, co-founder of Albert Gelman Inc.

This presentation is meant for general practitioners who need to better understand high level tax and insolvency issues that could affect their clients.

In detail, the presentation educates professionals on the following:

  1. Why are insolvencies involving the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) are increasing?
  2. What are the unique issues clients encounter when they are insolvent and indebted to the CRA?
  3. What are the CRA-specific solutions available to clients that will allow them to achieve a fresh financial start?
  4. Based on the solutions available to them, how do you best advise clients?

Our presentation lasts for approximately one hour.  As mentioned above, we have made this presentation to a number of industry professionals and they feel better prepared to advise their clients following the session.

Block out time on your calendar for the event right now. Why? Just imagine networking with some of the top bookkeepers in the country. Imagine the chance to be on the fast track to a more lucrative practice, to being a certified professional bookkeeper (CPB) and to receiving greater professional recognition inside and outside of this network.

Regional Meetings are a vital part of that formula for success.

They're a unique chance to combine learning – a guest speaker shares expertise that's sure to make your work a bit easier – with fun and powerful networking.

Attending this meeting qualifies for one Professional Development Credit

Each meeting includes a guest speaker with a Q&A session; a discussion among the attendees about a marketing topic, a challenge someone may be facing, or another topic important to you; and networking. Non members are welcome to attend two meetings to evaluate IPBC. Afterwards, you must join to attend Regional Meetings.

Our meetings are "Scent Free” and business casual attire is appreciated. This is a business meeting. Please, turn off your cell phone before entering the room, and sorry no children allowed. We look forward to seeing you there!
