Topics of coverage will be around:

• Review of the new Employer Health Tax
• Year End Payroll Procedures
• Q & A

Lynsey comes from a family of accounting industry professionals and has been bookkeeping for over 15 years. She completed the Accounting and Payroll diploma course at Vancouver Career College. She enjoys the problem-solving aspect of bookkeeping, looking through the books to discover any issues and analyzing the data to be sure that government rules are compliant. Lynsey has earned the Designations of Certified Professional Bookkeeper and Payroll Compliance Practitioner.

Lynsey currently works for Paper Trail Bookkeeping & Business Centre in Langley BC, which was just awarded the IPBC’s 2018 Bookkeeping Firm of the Year Award. Her extensive experience allows her to provide forensic bookkeeping for their clients at an expert level. Continually upgrading her skills and researching the latest trends in government rules, regulations and legislation changes, Lynsey feels is a vital link for all of Paper Trail Bookkeeping’s client’s financial health and well-being.

Lynsey is very involved in the theater and is the President of a community theatre group, where she enjoys performing on-stage and also helps out behind the scenes.

Doors Open at 5:00 p.m. - We encourage and it's very appreciated if you can come early to have your dinner and network so there are less interruptions while the speaker is presenting.

Regional Developers - Rachel Devine, CPB and Jennifer Klein, CPB

The cost of the meeting is free; however, you are responsible for your own meal and beverage.

Dining out with food allergies can be a challenge, but it can be done safely. The best way to stay safe is by being informed and communicating your needs.

Before you go: ‘Be Informed and Inform’.
We recommend contacting the restaurant ahead of time and talking to the restaurant manager or Kitchen manager.

At the Restaurant: ‘Communicate’.
Talk to the server upon arriving and also to the IPBC regional network chair and explain your food allergies.

Block out time on your calendar for this event right now. Why? Just imagine networking with some of the top bookkeepers in the country. Imagine the chance to be on the fast track to a more lucrative practice, to being a certified professional bookkeeper (CPB) and to receiving greater professional recognition inside and outside of this network.

Regional Meetings are a vital part of that formula for success.

They're a unique chance to combine learning – a guest speaker shares expertise that's sure to make your work a bit easier – with fun and powerful networking.

Attending this meeting qualifies for one Professional Development Credit

Each meeting includes a guest speaker with a Q&A session; a discussion among the attendees about a marketing topic, a challenge someone may be facing, or another topic important to you; and networking. Non-members are welcome to attend two meetings to evaluate IPBC. Afterwards, you must join to participate in Regional Meetings.

Our meetings are "Scent Free” and business casual attire is appreciated. This is a business meeting. Please, turn off your cell phone before entering the room, and sorry no children allowed.

We look forward to seeing you there!
