Hubdoc + Xero - workflow from Hubdoc to Xero

Presented by Kevin Wood from Xero Canada

This will be a practical demo of the workflow from Hubdoc to Xero and an opportunity to ask questions about best practices and make "wish list" requests.

Kevin Wood is the Xero Account Manager based in Vancouver.  Amanda Miller assists Xero Partners in moving their practice and clients onto Xero and provides training and support.

Kevin Wood
Kevin is a Senior Account Manager at Xero, the world's leading online accounting software for small businesses, accountants and bookkeepers. His role is to help advisors automate their work through cloud technology and enabling them to drive more efficiency within the practice. He began his career in the accounting technology sector in 2011 starting with Sage in Richmond, B.C. and moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2013 and began working for Xero in its infancy. Since then the company has grown to over 1.6 million customers and used by over 100,000 accountants and bookkeepers in 128 countries worldwide.  On the weekend you can find Kevin playing his guitar at local venues or chasing his very energetic 2 year old.

Jennifer Thornton
Jennifer is a Partner Development Representative at Xero and her role is to help with the onboarding process for accountants and bookkeepers that join the Xero Partner Program. Jennifer began her career at Xero in 2018 but prior to that had been highly involved in the community both as a partner herself where she ran her own bookkeeping practice as well as working for other bookkeeping and app partners in Vancouver. When she's not in the office helping Xero's newest partners, Jennifer can be found on her boat where she enjoys exploring B.C.'s beautiful coast.

Regional Developer: Maggie Geiser, CPB

The cost of the meeting is free; however, you are responsible for your own meal and beverage.

Dining out with food allergies can be a challenge, but it can be done safely. The best way to stay safe is by being informed and communicating your needs.

Before you go: ‘Be Informed and Inform’. We recommend contacting the restaurant ahead of time and talking to the restaurant manager or Kitchen manager.

At the Restaurant: ‘Communicate’. Talk to the server upon arriving and also to the IPBC regional network chair and explain your food allergies.

Block out time on your calendar for this event right now. Why? Just imagine networking with some of the top bookkeepers in the country. Imagine the chance to be on the fast track to a more lucrative practice, to being a certified professional bookkeeper (CPB) and to receiving greater professional recognition inside and outside of this network.

Regional Meetings are a vital part of that formula for success.

They're a unique chance to combine learning – a guest speaker shares expertise that's sure to make your work a bit easier – with fun and powerful networking.

Attending this meeting qualifies for one Professional Development Credit

Each meeting includes a guest speaker with a Q&A session; a discussion among the attendees about a marketing topic, a challenge someone may be facing, or another topic important to you; and networking. Non-members are welcome to attend two meetings to evaluate IPBC. Afterwards, you must join to participate in Regional Meetings.

Our meetings are "Scent Free” and business casual attire is appreciated. This is a business meeting. Please, turn off your cell phone before entering the room, and sorry no children allowed.

We look forward to seeing you there!
