A Paperless Office – where do we begin?

Presented by: Lin James, CPB

Presenter bio:

Lin James is a CPB and has been an active member of IPBC since 2010. She is passionate about IPBC and volunteers her time to serve as a member of the IPBC Board of Directors, Chair of the Governance Committee, a member of the Awards Committee, Regional Meeting Task Force and various other committees or task forces as the need arises. Lin is also a Sage 50 Certified Consultant since 1998.

A few years ago, when the idea of a paperless office caught her attention - she was
curious. She could envision the time-saving benefits but how to get there was the issue. And so began her journey to achieve this idea. She researched and talked to others who had gone before her but none were bookkeepers and bookkeepers need a system that can work for all their client records. This research was two years in the making to initial launch and has been modified and fine-tuned over the past four years to where it is today. She considers it a work in progress and must be adaptable to any changes within the bookkeeping practice.

Doors open at 5:00 PM - we encourage and it's very appreciated if you can come early to have your dinner and network so there are less interruptions while the speaker is presenting.

Regional Network Chair - Rachel Devine, CPB and Jennifer Klein, CPB

Attending this meeting qualifies for one Professional Development Credit

The cost of the meeting is free; however, you are responsible for your own meal and beverage.

Dining out with food allergies can be a challenge, but it can be done safely. The best way to stay safe is by being informed and communicating your needs.

Before you go: ‘Be Informed and Inform’.
We recommend contacting the restaurant ahead of time and talking to the restaurant or kitchen manager.

At the Restaurant: ‘Communicate’.
Talk to the server upon arriving and to the IPBC Regional Network Chair and advise them of your food allergies.

Block out time on your calendar for this event right now. Why? Just imagine networking with some of the top bookkeepers in the country. Imagine the chance to be on the fast track to a more lucrative practice, to being a Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) and, to receiving greater professional recognition inside and outside of this network.

Regional meetings are a vital part of that formula for success. They're a unique chance to combine learning – a guest speaker shares expertise that's sure to make your work a bit easier – with fun and powerful networking.

Each meeting includes a guest speaker with a Q&A session; a discussion among the attendees about a marketing topic, a challenge someone may be facing, or another topic important to you; and networking. Non-members are welcome to attend three meetings to evaluate IPBC. Afterwards, you must join to participate in Regional Meetings.

Our meetings are "Scent Free” and business casual attire is appreciated. This is a business meeting. Please, turn off your cell phone before entering the room, and sorry no children allowed.

We look forward to seeing you there!
