Streamlining Bookkeeping Efficiencies with Xero

Presented by: Amanda Miller and Leslie Grover, Xero

Amanda Miller, Partner Consultant

Amanda's Bio: With a passion for bookkeepers and small business, and with more than 15 years of experience in both, Amanda ran her own bookkeeping practice in the states. Four years ago she expanded on that passion by joining Xero. During her time at Xero she has provided more than 3,000 small businesses and practices with implementation support in their adoption of cloud technology. As Xero expanded into Canada in 2018, she relocated to Vancouver where she is a catalyst for change in the accounting industry.

Leslie Grover, Account Manager

Leslie's Bio: A passionate Xero advocate as both a bookkeeper and employee, Leslie is Xero's Account Manager looking after accounting partners across Northern Alberta. Originally from Edmonton, Leslie moved to Australia shortly after she graduated from the University of Alberta where she continued her studies while engaging in running small family businesses. While living in Melbourne, 10 years ago Leslie started her own bookkeeping practice using the Xero platform as a cloud solution for her clients. After her 20 year sabbatical overseas, Leslie returned to live in Cochrane, Alberta. She continues to run her bookkeeping practice while working with Xero in a new light, sharing her knowledge and passion with accountants and bookkeepers.

Regional Network Chair: Connie Sparks, CPB

Cost is free - You are responsible for your own meal and beverage

Dining out with food allergies can be a challenge, but it can be done safely. The best way to stay safe is by being informed and communicating your needs.

Before you go: ‘Be Informed and Inform’.
We recommend contacting the restaurant ahead of time and talking to the restaurant manager or Kitchen manager.

At the Restaurant: ‘Communicate’.
Talk to your server upon arriving and to the Regional Network Chair to advise them of your food allergies.

Block out time on your calendar for this event right now. Why? Just imagine networking with some of the top bookkeepers in the country. Imagine the chance to be on the fast track to a more lucrative practice, to being a certified professional bookkeeper (CPB) and to receiving greater professional recognition inside and outside of this network.

Regional Meetings are a vital part of that formula for success.

They're a unique chance to combine learning – a guest speaker shares expertise that's sure to make your work a bit easier – with fun and powerful networking.

Attending this meeting qualifies for one Professional Development Credit

Each meeting includes a guest speaker with a Q&A session; a discussion among the attendees about a marketing topic, a challenge someone may be facing, or another topic important to you; and networking. Non-members are welcome to attend two meetings to evaluate IPBC. Afterwards, you must join to participate in Regional Meetings.

Our meetings are "Scent Free” and business casual attire is appreciated. This is a business meeting. Please, turn off your cell phone before entering the room, and sorry no children allowed.

We look forward to seeing you there!
