Katherine Hawkins and Gregg Simpson from Xero

Born and raised in Toronto, Katherine made the moved to Winnipeg where she then started her career working for one of the big 4 firms for seven years. She then relocated to Calgary and started her own bookkeeping and consulting firm and has continued to do so for the past 19 years.  Passionate about providing the same support systems for small business that larger corporations enjoy, Katherine has endeavoured to provide clients with the proper tools to obtain accurate financial information in as efficient a manner as possible. Katherine remains operating her practice but has recently joined the Xero team as a Partner consultant, where she continues to assist, educate and support our Xero partners on their journey.  

After a 15 year career working with companies like IBM and large oil and gas firms. Gregg made the transition to running his own small startup, then found his calling working with Xero. An account manager, his unwavering commitment to making the lives of accountants, bookkeepers and small business owners better, shines through. Used to working with big clunky accounting & ERP systems, Xero was a big breath of fresh air for a guy always looking for a more efficient way to do things.

Talk to the server upon arriving and also to the IPBC Regional Network Chair and explain your food allergies.

Each meeting includes a guest speaker with a Q&A session; a discussion among the attendees about a marketing topic, a challenge someone may be facing, or another topic important to you; and networking. Non-members are welcome to attend three meetings to evaluate IPBC. Afterwards, you must join to participate in Regional Meetings.

Our meetings are "Scent Free” and business casual attire is appreciated. This is a business meeting. Please, turn off your cell phone before entering the room, and sorry no children allowed.
