Zapier: Easy wins to start automating your work

Bookkeepers do a lot of things that are repetitive in nature to wrangle data.  So do bots. Zapier is a tool that can be used to get these bots to do some of the repetitive wrangling for you which gives you back some time to do the more intricate work...or take a nap :)  In this session Mike will show you extremely simple ways to get started and will leave you wondering “What else can I automate?”

Speaker: Mike Widdis

Mike Widdis is the President & Founder of UpSide Accounting, a full-service firm specializing in creative pros.  He is also a bit of tech nerd and drives his wife and 2 little girls insane with trying to “automate” his entire house.  If you have ice cream you can likely bribe him to do anything.

Regional Developer Co-Chairs: Tania Hynes, CPB and Marie Widdis, CPB

While there is no cost for this upfront, everyone is expected to order from their set menu. They can accommodate dietary restrictions.

Dining out with food allergies can be a challenge, but it can be done safely. The best way to stay safe is by being informed and communicating your needs.

Before you go: ‘Be Informed and Inform’. We recommend contacting the restaurant ahead of time and talking to the restaurant manager or Kitchen manager.

At the Restaurant: ‘Communicate’.  Talk to the server upon arriving and also to the IPBC regional network chair and explain your food allergies.

Block out time on your calendar for this event right now. Why? Just imagine networking with some of the top bookkeepers in the country. Imagine the chance to be on the fast track to a more lucrative practice, to being a certified professional bookkeeper (CPB) and to receiving greater professional recognition inside and outside of this network.

Regional Meetings are a vital part of that formula for success.

They're a unique chance to combine learning – a guest speaker shares expertise that's sure to make your work a bit easier – with fun and powerful networking.

Attending this meeting qualifies for one Professional Development Credit

Each meeting includes a guest speaker with a Q&A session; a discussion among the attendees about a marketing topic, a challenge someone may be facing, or another topic important to you; and networking. Non-members are welcome to attend two meetings to evaluate IPBC. Afterwards, you must join to participate in Regional Meetings.

Our meetings are "Scent Free” and business casual attire is appreciated. This is a business meeting. Please, turn off your cell phone before entering the room, and sorry no children allowed.

We look forward to seeing you there!
