The Black Swan Project
is designed to take five qualified candidates and transform their practices to a value
based business
model over an eight month period. The candidates learning processes
and outcomes are shared with IPBC members and program sponsors. The IPBC value-based mentoring program is taught by  Mr. Ronald J. Baker, a leading expert in this field. He is one of the Founders of the VeraSage Institute, a think tank for revolutionary thinking for professional knowledge
firms and a world renowned writer and speaker on value pricing and the knowledge professional.

The Black Swan Project Mission:
To help bookkeepers and accountants improve both the quality and the profitability of their practices.

The Black Swan Project Goal:
To help bookkeepers and accountants learn how to create more
value for their customers, increase customer satisfaction levels and capture the added value in their fees.

The Black Swan Project Objective:
To help bookkeepers and accountants move from low-margin, commodity-type services and low levels of customer satisfaction to value-based services and value-based pricing with higher margins and higher levels of customer satisfaction.

Ron Baker mentors five candidates and provides them with information and education they need to transform their practices into a value-based model. He Introduces the methods, tools and information from his latest book "Implementing Value Pricing: A Radical Business Model for Professional Firms".

Ron guides the Swans through the theory and how to apply it to their practices.  This includes general educational sessions and also specialized personal sessionsThe sessions go through processes needed to convert to a value based system.

The program helps participants take the value pricing and knowledge professional concepts and incorporate them into to their own practices.  We achieve this by tracking the candidate's progress, accesses to a resource library, on line webinar lectures, development of a value pricing and knowledge professional community through forums, discussion panel webinars and Facebook social media.

Converting a traditional hourly or fee based knowledge practice to a value based business model is a challenging process and it may not be for everyone. This program is designed for the professional who understands the concepts and theory of Value Pricing and is looking to transform their practice.

The candidates will be screened and required to meet a minimum set of criteria to be eligible for the program. This is to assure the Black Swans have the needed commitment to follow through with this program. We also want to optimize the relate ability between the participants own practices with that of the Black Swans.

We've developed key metrics to track the performance of this program. This helps us evaluate the Black Swans progress, relate ability to the participants own practices, spot trends, hot topics and focal points in the process. As well as provide insight on further improvement and development of the program.

Ronald J. Baker started his CPA career in 1984 with KPMG’s Private Business Advisory Services in San Francisco. Today, he is the founder of VeraSage Institute, the leading think tank dedicated to educating professionals around the world. He has toured the world, spreading his value-pricing message to over 110,000 professionals and is committed to helping IPBC members and professional bookkeepers break free of practice methods that limit and hurt their businesses.
